OTHER INFORMATION:
Jennifer is an of counsel attorney at Law Offices of Joseph A. Marra, PLLC. She has over ten years of experience in the legal field. She started working for our firm as a Law Clerk and assisted four attorneys with their caseloads in areas such as civil litigation, real estate transactions, estate planning and administration as well as appellate practice. After passing the bar, she was hired at the firm as an Attorney and she focused primarily on real estate transactions and estate planning and administration. After working with us four years, she went on to other firms and gained experience in estate planning, estate administration, will drafting, foreclosure defense and appellate practice.
During the real estate home foreclosure crisis, she assisted clients whose homes were in foreclosure by representing clients in court, submitting affirmations and memoranda of law, and representing clients at real estate closings. She prepared appellate briefs and researched statutes and case law related to mortgage foreclosure. She has a genuine desire to help individuals who find themselves in difficult situations.
As our firm grew, Jennifer returned to our firm to assist clients with the estate administration process. She helps clients who have lost a loved one with the process of probating or administering their estate. She prepares Accountings and other documentation for submission in Surrogate’s Court. She believes it is her responsibility to compassionately assist clients with the legal process while they are dealing with the loss of their loved one. Jennifer has also been an Adjunct Professor in the Paralegal Studies Department at Rockland Community College for many years where she teaches Paralegal courses in areas such as Real Estate Transactions, Elder Law and Estate Planning, Civil Litigation, Computer Legal Applications, Legal Research and Writing and Contract Law and Litigation. She has been a member of the Paralegal Advisory Board at Rockland Community College for many years and advises students who are entering the legal field.
